Patricia Boyker of Jay and most recently of Fayette, Maine died at Clover Health Care on February 7, 2024.

“Patsy” was born in Mechanic Falls on September 3, 1939, the daughter of Clifford A. Cole and Minnie E. (Foss) Cole. She was very much loved by her daughters Cindy Ellingwood of Fayette and Susan Chretien of Livermore Falls.

Patricia was a hard worker employed by Hannaford in Jay as an Office Coordinator. She worked in that position for 28 years, retiring in 2005. She was very proud of her job. She had a very strong work ethic, missing only a handful of days in her career. This, she instilled upon her children who continue her values.

Patricia was independent and self-reliant. She was an animal lover and through the years shared her home with canine companions. She frequently donated to the ASPCA.

After retirement, Patricia enjoyed working at Chretien’s Greenhouse in Livermore Falls, a business owned by her daughter’s family. She also cared for a special great-grandson Tucker McPheters and was a great help and comfort to his parents Abby and Hutch.

She leaves behind her daughters, Susan M. Chretien (Gerard) of Livermore Falls, Cindy Ellingwood and husband Kenneth of Fayette.

Grandchildren, Alan D. Chretien and wife Kimberly of Lebanon, Michael C. Chretien and Ashley Langlin-Hebert of Livermore. Abby J. McPheters and husband  Hutch of Chesterville.

Great grandchildren, Trinity Chretien of Livermore, Leo Chretien, and Calvin Chretien of Lebanon. Bella Chretien and Brody Chretien of Livermore. Tucker McPheters and Macie Mae McPheters of Chesterville.

She also had caring friends, special nieces, and her best cousin, Joyce Debiase of Mechanic Falls.

She was predeceased by her parents, a son-in-law Gerard D. Chretien, and a grandson Eric Ellingwood.

Many thanks to the staff of Memory Care at Clover Healthcare for their “person-centered care” and Androscoggin Hospice.

Arrangements are through Direct Cremation of Maine and per Patricia’s wishes, a private celebration will be held at a later date.

Donations may be made in Patricia’s name to the ASPCA or Kennebec Humane Society should one wish.
