Obituary for Christina McBreairty

Christina "Chris" McBreairty, 85, went home to be with the Lord On June 25, 2019, after a sudden illness.
Chris was born June 8, 1934, the third child born to Alphonse and Florine (Jandreau) Harvey in St. Francis.
Chris attended school in St. Francis. She helped her mother at home and accompanied her father in the woods to cook for him and the other men. She enjoyed taking care of others. Throughout her life, her cooking was loved by many. Most have a "favorite" dish for which she will be remembered (including her huge boxes of Christmas candies that everyone anticipated).

Chris married the love of her life, Roy E. McBreairty in 1955. They enjoyed, what Roy would call "adventures" in the North Maine Woods, for many years. After they moved to Easton in 1972, Chris was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Presque Isle. She enjoyed and was very talented at knitting. She would knit multiple sweaters, mittens, and hats for Sister Mary to distribute. Her dedication to helping others was unwavering. She took care of many children through the years, loving them as her own. She never enjoyed the spotlight but enjoyed putting smiles on other people’s faces.

Chris was predeceased by her parents Alphonse and Florine, her loving husband Roy, two brothers Merrill and Galen; three sisters Jeanine, Renette, and Suze.

She is survived by her three daughters Trudy and Lewis Fuller of Easton, Jeanine and Paul Watson of Caribou, Corrie and Rob Kierstead of Fort Fairfield; one grandson, Joshua Fuller of Caribou; grandchildren of her heart, Peggy Shaw, Christopher Fuller, Benjamin, Samantha and Devin Watson; two special girls she loved like granddaughters, Karina, and Mallory Patterson; her great-grandsons Dylan and Connor Fuller (who made her smile radiantly when she would see them walk in) and several great-grandchildren of her heart. Three sisters Trena Spooner of New Sweden, Eileen Jandreau of Washburn, Dorianne Mitchell of Wyoming, two brothers Wayne and Ronie Harvey of St. Francis; one special relative, Pauline Michaud Rushinal. Multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and special nurses, CNA'S and staff members she enjoyed spending time with at Mercy Home in Eagle Lake.

Chris's family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Home for the care and time spent with her that was above the job description. Although she wanted to be home with her family, you all helped her and we appreciate that.

A Mass celebrating Chris will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Francis, Maine. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Parish Hall in the basement of St. Charles following the service.

We all know, a phrase likely heard in Heaven now is "Okay Roy, come on, let’s go home". They are home now, together.
