Joan Marie (Coblentz) Greenwald, 71, formerly of Birmingham, AL and Hattiesburg, MS died June 10, 2012 in Brunswick, ME after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Alan, two sons, Daniel and his wife Jennifer and Aaron and his wife Liza, and four grandchildren: Tallulah, Judah, Micah and Jagger. She also leaves her sister, Barbara Piper, of Huntsville, AL, and brother, Thomas Coblentz and his wife Marcella, of Athens, AL, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Danny, and sisters, Betty and Beverly. Joan will be most remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, and will be missed by many.
A celebration of Joan’s life will be scheduled at a later date in Birmingham, Alabama.
The family wishes to thank all of Joan’s caregivers in Hattiesburg and the staff of Mid Coast Senior Health Center and Hospice of Mid Coast Maine who so lovingly cared for Joan.
