- Sheltering the Remains for the 48 hour waiting period
- Alternative cremation container

- Cremation fee from Maine Coast Crematory
- Medical Examiners permit
- Placement of Cremated Remains in urn
- Filing Veterans paperwork
- Social Security Notification
- Assistance with the filing of life insurance
- Composing obituary and submitting to newspapers
Please Note: this Complete Cremation package does not include a memorial
service, certified copies of the death certificate, or obituary charges by some
newspapers. Direct Cremation of Maine will publish the obituary on the
world-wide web at no cost.

Veterans
At Direct Cremation of Maine we feel a deep sense of gratitude to all of the
veterans who have provided so much for our country. As a small token of our
appreciation we will handle the filing of Veterans Administration paperwork for
you. This includes:
- Burial Benefits Application
- U.S. Flag Application
- Government Headstone Application
If desired we will also arrange for burial in a veterans cemetery.
